बादलको चाल, हावाको दिशा, हिउँको बनावट र चराचुरुङ्गीको व्यवहारबाट मौसम अनुमान गर्ने सीप धेरै समुदायमा सुनिन्छ। यस्तो ज्ञान वैज्ञानिक मौसम सूचनाको विकल्प होइन, तर स्थानीय निर्णय र इतिहास बुझ्ने महत्वपूर्ण स्रोत हो।
अभिलेखमा समुदायको नेतृत्व
परम्परागत ज्ञान संकलन गर्दा समुदायलाई विषय होइन, सह–लेखक मान्नुपर्छ। कुन ज्ञान सार्वजनिक गर्न मिल्छ, कसरी श्रेय दिने र अभिलेख कहाँ राख्ने भन्ने निर्णयमा स्थानीय नेतृत्व अनिवार्य हुन्छ।
Working with geography
Life in the Himalaya is organised around altitude, cold, water availability and short seasonal windows. Building forms, food storage, herding and travel planning have developed through long local experience.
Reading routes and weather
Many communities describe skills for observing cloud movement, wind direction, snow texture and animal behaviour. Such knowledge does not replace scientific forecasting, but it remains an important source for understanding local decisions and history.
Community leadership in documentation
Traditional knowledge should be documented with communities as co-authors, not merely as subjects. Local leadership is essential when deciding what may be public, how credit is given and where records are kept.
